Murry Jackson "Jack" Walker, age 62, of Gaston, South Carolina, was called home on May 4, 2026, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by those closest to him at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Born on April 7, 1964, Jack was a highly skilled Master Framer whose work spanned decades across the Midlands of South Carolina. Beginning his career in the 1980s, he contributed to many well-known and respected projects throughout Columbia. He was known not only for his craftsmanship, but also for the pride he took in his work and the relationships he built along the way. Throughout his life, Jack faced many challenges, yet he persevered through struggles with strength and determination, continuing to show up for his work, his friends, and his family. He worked alongside many friends over the years and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Jack was also an avid, lifelong fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Above all, Jack loved his family deeply. He was profoundly proud of his daughter, his grandson, and his nieces and nephews, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He especially enjoyed watching Gamecock football with his family, a tradition that brought him great joy. His legacy of love, hard work, and loyalty will live on through all who knew him.

He is survived by his only child, Courtney Walker Kenyon (Lance); his grandson, Noah Matthew Michon; his beloved sisters, Barbara Walker McManus (Donald), Marie Walker Roscoe (Sean), Tiffany Green, and his stepmother, Teresa Green Walker.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Constance "Connie" Wilson Walker; his father, Joseph Huff Walker; and his sisters, Martha Inez Walker and Polly Wilson Richardson.

Jack will be remembered for his strength, his skill, his unwavering love for his family, and his willingness to help others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
