Santos, Nancy Jean (Burkart), 58, of North Charleston, passed away May 15, 2018 at Roper Hospital with her daughter, Catherine Grace Santos, and brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Carol Burkart at her side. Nancy was born in New York and was the daughter of the late August J. and Catherine V. Burkart (Hogan). She is survived by her brothers Michael, Thomas, A.J. and Gary Burkart.
Nancy attended Endicott College and graduated from the Art Institute of Boston with a degree in Photography. During the course of her career, she worked for the Charleston City Paper, the College of Charleston, and the Dept. of Homeland Security. Nancy was a warm and loving mother, sister and friend who touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
