Patricia Anne Browy, 91, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Patricia was born on March 10, 1935, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the beloved daughter of Rudolph Paupke and Thresa Sterr. She spent her life devoted to her family and her love for God. She was a long-standing member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and an active member of the alto choir. She was a devoted Green Bay Packers and Gamecocks fan. Patricia touched countless lives every day with her smile, kind words, and hugs she loved to give.

Patricia was an amazing stay-at-home mom and then entered the workforce as a secretary and enjoyed working until her retirement from the South Carolina Labor Board of Nursing.

Above all else, Patricia cherished her time spent with family and friends. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, guidance, and kindness will be greatly missed.

Patricia is survived by her children: Sandra A. Browy, Steven R. Browy (Rita), Scott C. Browy (Karen), Stuart A. Browy, and Susan T. Newton; grandchildren Allison M. Johnson, Graceann V. Browy, Christopher S. Browy (Dana), Brittany D. Youngblood (Lee), Eric C. Browy, Jessica A. Kroll (Richard), and Shannon M. Newton; and 14 great-grandchildren who loved their GiGi, Grannie B, and Grandma.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Rudy Paupke; grandson, Ryan N. Browy; and son-in-law, Jerold T. Newton, Jr.

Her memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel of Lexington, 1156 Barr Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., and the service will be at 2:00 p.m.

Patricia’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
