Patricia A Fields

The family of Patricia Anne Fields (nee Goins) is saddened to announce her death at 91 years old on June 27, 2025. She passed peacefully in her home after a period of declining health. Pat was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1934 to John and Helen Goins. She grew up in Knoxville and proudly carried both her southern heritage and Tennessee accent wherever she lived and traveled throughout the rest of her life.

Pat married Howard M. Fields, Jr. in 1957. Their 61 years together took them all over the United States and Canada, and with each move, Pat created a loving home for the family and made wonderful neighborhood friends. Church was an important part of Pat’s life, and she embraced service and community in every church the family joined. She loved taking her turn to watch the little ones in the nursery on Sunday mornings and making coffee for fellowship after the service. Pat was also a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years. We will remember Pat for her southern cooking and baking, avid crocheting, Bob Ross inspired painting, dedicated turtle-walking, never-ending owl collecting, and, above all, love for her family.

Pat is survived by her daughter Marcella Lynn Fields, daughter Christy Fields Weisiger and her husband Gregory, daughter Cynthia Lee Larkin and her husband Michael, and son Gregory Howard Fields. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Erin Weisiger Willis and her husband Tanner, Annie Leigh Larkin, and Rachel Grace Larkin, one grandson, Michael Howard Weisiger, two great-granddaughters Charlotte Katherine Willis and Abigail Elizabeth Willis, and one great-grandson, Benjamin Finn Willis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, Pat was predeceased by her husband, Howard M. Fields, Jr., her parents, John and Helen Goins, and an infant daughter.
