Patricia "Patti" Gurney-Ramlow

Patricia "Patti" Gurney-Ramlow, 62, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on October 23, 2025. 

Born on March 18, 1963, Patti lived a life full of grit, laughter, and a deep loyalty to the people she loved. Patti was the kind of person who showed up, and she showed up with her whole heart. She was generous to a fault, honest in a way that made people trust her, and loyal in a way that made people feel safe. 

She loved horses, cats, and tractors, the smell of freshly turned earth, and the joy of tending to her garden. She found beauty in simple things: morning light across a field, a cup of coffee on a quiet porch, and a good conversation with someone she loved. Above all, Patti loved her family. 

She cherished her stepdaughter, Harley Emke, and her grandchildren, Kayla and Ender, who brought light, laughter, and joy into her life. 

Patti was preceded in death by her mother, Orrie Mae Ilderton Gurney, and her father, Willis Archer Gurney, Jr. 

She leaves behind her family and dear friends who will carry her memory forward in stories, laughter, gardens grown, and love given freely. 

A graveside service to honor Patti’s life will be held, and the family will announce the date, time, and location soon.
