Paul Alfred Stello

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Paul Alfred Stello of Summerville, South Carolina. Paul was born to CMDR Albert (Al) Stello and Marion (Mae) Stello on May 18, 1949, in Franklin, MA. Paul, age 76, went home to the Lord on the evening of December 2, 2025, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Paul earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Charleston Southern University (Baptist College) and a Masters in Business Administration from the Citadel. He did so while working at companies that fell under the Bayer Corporation umbrella at the Bushy Park, SC location. Holding various positions during his 44 years, he retired from Symrise as Global Director of Quality Assurance, which frequently took him to Germany and Mexico. Paul was a past member of the YMCA where he served on the Board of Directors and on the International Management Council. He was also a past member of the Summerville Elks and Charleston Elks, where he served as treasurer.

He cherished spending time with family and friends. He loved music, especially ABBA, was an avid reader, enjoyed watching movies, game night with neighbors, and rolling endless Yahtzees at the dining room table with his wife. He was constantly working to perfect his lasagna recipe, much to the delight of family and neighbors who were grateful recipients. 

He will be missed and remembered fondly, but most of all by his wife of 49 years, Jean, 2 daughters, and 1 son. Paul has 5 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and 1 great granddaughter. Paul has 1 sister, 2 brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers. 

A celebration of a life well lived will be held in his home at a later date.
