Richard Louis Jackson

June 26, 1960 — August 20, 2022

Summerville

Richard L. Jackson (Rick), 62 of Summerville, SC crossed the finish line peacefully on August 20, 2022, at 8:59am.

Over the years Rick has held many struggles with health battles. This being his biggest after complications from open heart surgery, we had to kiss our beloved goodbye one last time.

Born June 26, 1960, to Clyde and June Jackson in Elmhurst, Illinois. Growing up he and the family were avid Cavalier supporters. Green was in the blood - SPLOOIE!

Rick married his wife Brenda, October 13, 2001, in Rockford, Illinois.

Survived by his wife Brenda, son Ryan Jackson, bonus children Brian (Cyndi) Follis, Brad (Lyndsey) Follis, Jimmy (Emmy) Follis, and Amy (Sam) Ervin. Also survived by Brothers Ken (Linda) Jackson, Lee (Kathy) Jackson, Bob (Ellen) Jackson, ten grandchildren, several Neice's and Nephews and Great Neice's and Nephews, and many Cousins.

Pre-deceased by parents Clyde and June, Mother-in-Law Mary, Sister Dorothy & Brother-in-Law Conrad, Grandson Gunnar, Neice Brandy, and Great Nephew Louis. As well as Aunts and Uncles throughout.

Rick was wonderful to everyone he came in proximity of and always had joy for family gatherings. When he wasn't out with family you could always find him in his recliner with his Dale Jr blanket watching a race, sports game, or Olympics. He had a lot of love for Nascar and Chicago Cubs.

We will hold a celebration of life on Sunday September 11, 2022, at 12 noon at the Canterbury Woods Clubhouse, 2070 Pineshurst Ave. Charleston, SC 29414. In honor of Richard Jackson. Memorial Gifts in his name can be mailed to 452 Fox Sparrow Ct. Summerville, SC 29486. We appreciate all your love and guidance through this time.
