Richard George Molony, 64, entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2026. He was the son of Raymond Deal Molony and Ann Boniface Molony.

Richard was born in Charleston, SC on April 2, 1961. He graduated from Bishop England High School in 1980 and attended Winthrop College. Richard worked for the Credit Bureau of Greater Charleston where he developed an interest and gained valuable experience in credit reporting services. Richard alongside of his business partner and friend of 40 years, Carol Gadson, opened Credit Report Services, Inc. which was a very proud moment in time for him.

Richard had a strong happy spirit and lived his life to the fullest. Described by his friends and family as always positive, friendly, upbeat, a great guy, always a great personality and he was loved by everyone!

Richard was predeceased by his parents, brother, Bernard Charles Molony, brother-in-law, Marion Harvey Smith and niece, Melissa Ann Smith.

He is survived by his 7 siblings; Raymond Deal Molony, Jr. of Beaufort, Ann Molony Smith, Maureen Molony Forsberg (Danny), Michael Boniface Molony (Geraldine) of Columbia, Patricia Molony Weber (Michael), Joseph Lawrence Molony (Julie), Christine Molony Kaminer (Larry) of Lexington. Richard is also survived by his 13 nieces and nephews; Bridget Molony Tupper, Raymond Deal Molony, III, Lauren Smith Gehlken, Caroline Smith Richards, Natalie Smith Sullivan, Clair Molony Forsberg, Maura Forsberg Buck, Michael Boniface Molony II, Christopher Raymond Deal Molony, William Parrish Molony, Lindsay Taylor Weber, Michael Grayson Weber, Joseph Lawrence Molony, Jr., Joshua Molony Kaminer. He is also survived by 12 great nieces and nephews.
