Mr. Rodney White was born on May 18, 1954, on James Island, South Carolina, to Carolyn White and the late Josiah White. He attended Fort Johnson High School and later pursued barber training.
Rodney later moved to New York, where he discovered his passion for carpentry and built a professional career specializing in floor repair, wood floor installation, and home renovation. Gifted with many talents, he also learned electrical work, further expanding his skills.
A devoted family man and an avid New York Giants fan, Rodney was known for his kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Rodney entered eternal rest on December 30, 2025, at the age of 71. He was reunited with his beloved wife, Tanya Hill-White, whom he met in 1997.
They were married in May 2002 and later relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, in 2006.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Shangnia Graham; his stepdaughter, Latanya Hill; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Gloria, Susan, Brenda, Lavern, Janice, and Barbara: brother- Edward, aunt-Mildred, Thelma, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rodney was preceded in death by his wife, Tanya Hill-White; his father, Josiah White; his brother Norris White, Uncle Norris B. Cater and his grandparents, Elizabeth and Woodrow Prioleau.
