Ronald Joseph McGee

   Ronald Joseph McGee, affectionately known as “Bubba", passed away at the age of 56. Born on March 21, 1969, in Charleston, South Carolina, Bubba spent his life in the Lowcountry he loved, bringing joy, laughter, and a warm presence to everyone who knew him.

    A graduate of high school and a skilled, self-employed painter by trade, Bubba took great pride in his work and the connections he made through it. He was most at home on the basketball court or at the beach, often playing a game of half rubber with friends or soaking in the coastal air. His passions were simple, but his impact was lasting.

   Bubba was predeceased by his loving parents, Jeri McGee and James McGee. He is survived by his brother, James McGee; his sister, Shannon McGee Patterson; his nephew, Brandon Patterson; and his niece, Bailey Patterson, all of whom will miss him deeply.

   Known for his big smile and infectious laugh, Bubba never met a stranger. His warmth and ability to make friends wherever he went left a mark on many lives. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the ease with which he brought people together.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Bubba’s life.
