Ruben "Joe" Jones

Ruben “Joe” Jones, 82, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away at home on October 18, 2025, with his family by his side.  

Born in Rock Hill, he was the son of the late Alan W. and Lillie B. Jones.

Joe was married for 51 years to his beloved first wife, Suzanne Kemp Jones, who passed away in 2017. Together they built a lifetime of love, laughter, and family. After her passing, his life was again blessed with companionship through his wife, Rosemary Green, who remained devotedly by his side until the end.

He was a man who lived life on his own terms — confident, funny, and full of personality. Joe kept everyone around him laughing and never failed to brighten the room. He took great pride in his career with Nestlé USA in Danville, VA, where he served as a line lead overseeing the production of pasta, sauces, and cookies. Later in life, Joe discovered a passion for competitive shooting, earning medals in Cast Bullet Association and Piedmont Gun Club events — even after losing vision in one eye.

Joe is survived by his wife, Rosemary Green; his daughter, Donna Jones Smith (Michael) of Clinton, TN; his son, Christopher Jones (Rhonda) of Providence, NC; and eight grandchildren — Conner, Hayden, Bryson, Tyler, Zach, Carlie, Andie, and Nate. 

He was predeceased by his sister, Diane J. Bradford.

Joe’s ashes will be joined and spread with those of his first wife, Suzanne, at a sacred place they both loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Mount Holly Methodist Church.
