Stella Annette Williams, 65, of Summerville, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on January 26, 2026, at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House.

Born on August 30, 1960, in Charleston to Harold D’Arcy and the late Faye Barrineau Fryar. Annette attended Fort Johnson High School and went on to share her creative talents through Farrah Cosmetology school. Above all, Annette’s true calling was her devotion to the people she loved.

To know Annette was to love her. She possessed a rare, "one-of-a-kind" spirit and a heart that knew no bounds. Whether she was dancing, bowling, casting a line while fishing, or tending to her garden, she moved through life with a signature warmth and laughter that was contagious. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, and her unconditional love was the glue that held her circle together.

Annette was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Fryar, loving stepfather William Floyd Fryar, and her brother, Bruce “Rusty” D’Arcy.

Her legacy of love lives on through her sister Althea (T.T.) Forde (Allan), her stepsisters Christine Bertsch (Lee), and Angela Paulina D’Arcy; her devoted life partner, Sara Causey and extended family, Anna Causey, Tammy Broome (Brian), and Theresa Wood (Eric). She is also survived by her cherished nephews, Tony Sharbo, Thomas D’Arcy, and Bruce (B.J.) D’Arcy, Chad Forde and niece Farrah Haney (Brad), as well as a community of friends who became family. She also had many she called her nieces and nephews, one she was particularly close with was Colson. There is no doubt she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

In accordance with Annette’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. A vibrant celebration of her life—filled with the music and stories she loved—will be held at a later date.
