Stephen Carl Williams

Stephen Carl Williams, 70, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on June 1, 2026. Born on March 21, 1956, in Corona, California, he was the beloved son of Lee August Williams and June Iva May Hazzard.

Stephen held several professions throughout his life, most notably his long-term employment at Westvaco. However, his true passion was surfing. In his younger years, he also enjoyed basketball, softball, and cycling. Those who knew him will best remember him for his sarcastic personality.

On November 21, 1981, he married Deborah Jane Barrs (deceased). He is survived by his children, Marshall Lee Williams, Katie Elizabeth Williams, and Deborah Anne Williams, and his sister, Jackie Leigh Ross.

A gathering for family and friends to celebrate his life will be held at his home at a date and time to be determined.
