Steven Steenberg, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, formerly of Massena, New York, passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 79.

Steven proudly served in the United States Navy for more than 20 years, including service during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he pursued a second career before eventually retiring. After retiring from his second career, Steven continued giving back to his community as a volunteer at Trident Hospital. He will be remembered for his willingness to help friends and neighbors and for the kindness and generosity he showed to those around him.

Steven is survived by his children, Carol Pellam (Robert Pellam) and Steven Steenberg II (Natalia Alicea Vega); his grandchildren, Alexis Steenberg, Caila Steenberg, Gwendolyn Steenberg, Javier Alicea, Jonathan Alicea, and Landyn Steenberg; and his siblings, Don Steenberg and Nancy Romero.

He is reunited in eternal rest with his former wife, Ayueh Steenberg.

Steven will be remembered with love and gratitude by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His service to his country, dedication to others, and lasting impact on those around him will not be forgotten.
