Thomas Franklin Dixon, Jr. of Columbia, SC passed away on Jun 26, 2026.

Born June 23, 1959 in Darlington, SC he was a graduate of Cheraw High School and Clemson University.

He is predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Susan Dixon, and is survived by his stepdaughter, Ms. Samantha Bryant, and his brother, Mr. Rod Beck.

He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, dogs (especially his dobermans), and sport shooting. He was always there for and brought laughter to his family, friends, and neighbors. He had great love for his family, who loved him dearly in return.

He had varied life experiences, ranging for a scuba instructor to working at a car dealership before settling into a long and productive career in water treatment. He always insisted that movie franchises from the 70s/80s were the best (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws, and the works of Mel Brooks in particular), though he always enjoyed more recent sci fi such as Firefly and The Mandalorian. An avid reader, as child he was a frequent library visitor, and as an adult always had his Kindle near at hand.

He will be dearly missed by those who knew him, and they will carry his memory fondly in their hearts.
