Thomas Clark Nickell

May 17, 1955 - January 5, 2026

Tom was born in Bermuda on May 17,1955, to Reginald and Patricia Nickell. He is survived by his wife, Christine, daughter Chelsea Jo (Syndi), grandsons Dionte & Dominic, his sister Patricia Owens (Ed), and several Elliott in-laws: Kevin & Kerri, Tom & Liz, and Dan & Lisa. He also leaves behind several cousins and his dear friends who remember him fondly.

Following his stint in the Air Force, Tom worked in radar and engineering for Litton and Northrop Grumman. Tom retired to N. Myrtle Beach, SC in 2018 after many years in Maryland. He enjoyed bicycling, boating and spending time with his dogs!

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held Saturday, April 25 at 2pm at 1305 Timberman Way, Manakin-Sabot, Virginia.  Interment will take place in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Washington D.C. at a later date.

Memorials in Tom’s memory may be sent to Hope Lodge Charleston who provided 7 weeks of comfort while he underwent cancer treatments. Memorials may also be made to a cancer research foundation, such as the one his family helps to sponsor: MPCA / SCUCCIFEST - Home.
