Thornton "Mickey" Bailey, a hardworking provider for his family, a loving father, devoted husband, and a funny and kind individual who was loved by everyone, passed away on June 6, 2023. He was born in Chester, Pennsylvania on July 7, 1942.


Throughout his life, Mickey was dedicated to ensuring the happiness and well-being of his loved ones. He tirelessly worked to support his family and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to their needs. As a provider, he strived to create a comfortable life for his wife and six children.

Mickey was a source of joy and laughter in the lives of those around him. His sense of humor and kindness endeared him to many, and his presence always brought warmth and happiness to any gathering. He had a special talent for making people feel at ease and cherished.

Mickey's careers ranged from serving in the US Air Force to construction as a welder and most notably as a business owner. He owned a very successful beach sub shop, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the local community. His hard work, dedication and commitment to quality food made his business a beloved establishment, cherished by many.

After retiring, Mickey found a new hobby in tinkering with computers. He enjoyed exploring the digital world and learning new skills. His curiosity led him to become proficient in various aspects of technology, and he eagerly shared his knowledge with others.

Mickey is survived by his loving wife, June Bailey, who was his partner and best friend for many years. Together, they shared a deep and enduring love that served as an inspiration to those around them. 

Thornton "Mickey" Bailey will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of hard work, love, and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
